Stages Dash Public Feature Request Log

A place to request Dash features for the Stages development team.

Upload shows the wrong time

When I upload activities from the Dash they show up in the web app with a timestamp 8 hours ahead of my time.  If I start an activity at 6pm today is shows up in the web app saying I started it at 2am tomorrow.  The time displayed on the Dash is correct.  Also, my time zone in my profile is correct.

Just to make sure, when you say the timezone in your profile is correct you are referring to it as set in the website?

    Hi James,

What I mean is the time zone on the Stages Link web site is set correctly to California (GMT-7).  I can't see what time zone the Dash thinks it is in because it doesn't show in anywhere.  All I can see on the Dash is that the time of day is correct.

A bit more info- my (indoor) ride this evening was recorded on TrainerRoad and the Dash and both files were forwarded to Strava.  The TrainerRoad file looked fine.  The Dash file had the correct time on Strava EXCEPT the time shown was the time the ride ended at rather than the time the ride started at like TR.  So, it appears that the .fit file from the Dash is ok.  On the Stages Link web site the ride showed up seven hours ahead.  Almost like the web site was showing the time in GMT rather than GMT-7.

A couple of additional questions- 1) How do you know when GPS is locked?  The little arrow at the top of the screen?  The manual doesn't say what the symbol means.  2) Where does the GPS mode get set GPS, Glasnoss, Galileo) or is the Dash able to use those other satellite systems?

Ah, we will fix that FIT file saving at the ride end time in the next release.

It does indeed sound like Link is saving WRT GMT, will investigate.

    To answer your questions:

    1. There is an icon on the home screen that shows your typical navigation icon in the status bar (looks like a triangle). Will update the manual

    2. The dash uses GPS and QZSS in addition to the worldwide network of augmentation systems. We do not have glonass or galileo support on the dash.
